Former Senior Minister of Education Radzi Jidin and wife denies connection with RM80mil book printing project under MACC probe

Former Senior Minister of Education, Datuk Mohd Radzi Md Jidin wants the slanderer who claimed he was involved in corruption in a direct negotiation project worth RM80 million to apologize.

Through a three-minute video recording on Facebook, he insisted that the accusations made were very serious and could affect his image.

"This is a big slander and to the spreader, yes you may be happy because it has gone viral but that is happiness in the world.

"Answer in the afterlife. This is a very evil act," he said on Sunday.

At the same time, he also explained that his wife, Datin Balkis Zakaria, is not from the lineage of the royal family or tengku and has never been involved in any ministry affairs.

"My wife's name is Balkis binti Datuk Syeikh Haji Zakaria bin Ahmad Wan Besar. If you have friends in Kedah, you must know one of the great scholars who published books and often appeared on the radio at that time. So, here is my wife.

"My wife, if you want to know, she has never been involved in the affairs of the ministry. For example, during the Movement Control Order (MCO) when asked about the date when school will open and I replied, wait for the announcement on TV.

"This is an example that we are strict and there is no involvement of my wife at all," he insisted.
