[VIDEO] Police investigate viral video of angry woman hitting child at laundromat
CHUKAI: Several viral video recordings show a little girl being scolded and beaten by a woman believed to be her mother at a laundry shop in Kemaman.
The incident, believed to have taken place last Wednesday, shows that the woman involved not only scolded the child but also pushed the victim's head, pinched and hit his body.
The video was shared by netizens on social media yesterday, who claimed that the woman involved was said to have lost her temper after her child was playing outside the laundromat, causing her to become angry and scold and hit the victim.
Meanwhile, Kemaman District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd Razi Rosli, when contacted, said that his department had not received any reports regarding the incident so far.
He said that investigations into the issue are ongoing and members of the public who have information regarding the incident are asked to contact the nearest police station to assist in the investigation.
