NEW YORK: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today attended a dinner with Malaysian citizens and students in New York.
Anwar was accompanied by his wife, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail at the dinner with about 1,000 people.
Also present was the Malaysian Ambassador to the United States, Datuk Nazri Aziz; Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir; Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail; Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz; Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa; Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations Datuk Ahmad Faisal Muhamad and several Members of Parliament and government officials.
Anwar, who arrived in the city on Wednesday, had earlier delivered Malaysia's State of the Nation Statement at the 78th United Nations General Assembly.
There are about 25,000 Malaysians living in the United States.
