An ice lorry driver sees a tiger TWICE while passing the Gua Musang-Jeli road

An ice lorry driver and his friend claimed to have come across a tiger while passing the Gua Musang-Jeli road in Bukit Meranto area here yesterday.

Che Fiti Zulhilmi Che Leh, 22, said that in the incident at about 4pm, he who was driving accompanied by Mohd Amir Saari, 25, saw the animal on his way home from Jeli to Gua Musang.

"Before that, in the morning I already saw a glimpse of the tiger on the road, but only had time to take pictures... in the evening I had time to record a video and share the information with the residents via the WhatsApp application," he said when contacted by reporters here on Wednesday .

Che Fiti Zulhilmi, who shared the video with the local residents, asked other road users to be careful when using the route, also hoping that the recording would get the attention of the authorities so that they could take drastic action for the safety of the people in the area.

"I hope the Department of Wildlife Protection and National Parks (Perhilitan) can catch this striped pack because it is worried that the presence of this animal will cause an accident if drivers using this route are surprised and do not have time to avoid it.

"I saw it twice in the same day on the main road from Gua Musang to Jeli and it is not impossible that the animal will appear again and may cause danger to the residents," he said.

Meanwhile, Director of Perhilitan Kelantan Mohamad Hafid Rohani said his party had received a complaint about the incident which had gone viral.

"Our party has been to the scene and the investigation is underway," he said. .
