The Super League throne belongs to JDT for the 10th time in a row

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) won the Super League championship for the 10th time in a row, after beating PDRM FC 4-0 at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, here last night.
JDT proved their effectiveness even though there were still four games left, by collecting 64 points after defeating The Cops squad.
The success also saw the squad coached by Estaban Solari create history in national football, when it emerged as the only football club to win the championship for 10 consecutive seasons, after first winning it in 2014.
In fact, JDT also achieved a 'treble' success after previously winning the Sumbangsih Cup and FA Cup trophies.
In last night's match, South Tigers took a 2-0 lead in the first half through Brazilian sensation Bergson Da Silva and midfielder Juan Muniz in the 37th and 40th minutes respectively.
The second half saw a mistake by PDRM FC defender Izaaq Izhan Yuswardi, bringing down Arif Aiman Mohd Hanapi in the penalty box which resulted in a penalty, when JDT was awarded a penalty kick by referee Fitri Maskon.
Arif Aiman easily completed the penalty kick in the 54th minute, thus scoring the third goal for the Harimau Selatan team.
Esteban Solari's men, however, did not take long to add to the score through a powerful shot by Argentine striker FernandoForestieri, three minutes later.
The fourth goal completed the night for JDT to celebrate last night's victory.
