KSP RMK-12: The Dewan Rakyat passed an additional allocation of RM15 billion

KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat today unanimously approved the motion for the KSP Mid-Term Review, the 12th Malaysia Plan RMK-12 involving a ceiling increase of RM15 billion.
At the same time making the total RMK-12 allocation as much as RM415 billion.
RMK-12 approved in Parliament on 21 October 2021 includes three themes, four policy catalysts and 14 change drivers.
Earlier, the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim presented the KSP RMK-12 stating that the government will fully spend the allocation of RM400 billion under the RMK-12 and add another RM15 billion to the ceiling.
The increase is to increase the need to finance the people's priority areas while improving the quality of management and retargeting subsidies to meet the basic needs of the people.
The Prime Minister said that the new shift starts with eliminating extreme poverty, solving basic infrastructure problems and basic needs of the people including improving poor schools and clinics, guaranteeing clean water supply and leading an Islamic economy.
Following that, a total of 151 MP's participated in the debate on the motion representing the ministries involved for five days until the winding up session by Anwar this afternoon.
