UMNO President Zahid Hamidi announced that he will visit the grassroots of UMNO in every division and branch.

 



UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced that he will visit the grassroots of UMNO in every division and branch.


He explained that it is important to express the party's commitment to the grassroots to continue moving forward in carrying the struggle of this sacred party.


"We will no longer look back but move forward, I myself will go down to 191 sections across the country and hope to meet not only the leadership of the four level sections but also the Heads of Branches, Women, Youth and Girls.


"Want to meet all the leadership at all levels and this is the first round, I think we have time for the second round to meet with members at the branch level," he said.


He said this after being met by the media at the Women's Solidarity Gathering with the President Defending Institutions held at the Tun Hussein Onn Hall, Kuala Lumpur World Trade Center (WTC), here this afternoon.


Ahmad Zahid who is also the Deputy Prime Minister also informed that the post-mortem after the State Election (PRN) was also held through the Political Bureau Meeting after receiving the report from the briefing and also the war room.


Regarding the By-Elections that will be held in the Pulai Parliament and the Simpang Jeram and Pelangai Legislative Assembly, Ahmad Zahid said he was optimistic about the support from the parties supporting the Unity Government to provide support to the parties and candidates contesting.


"We are the incumbents of the Pelangai seat, I have had a discussion with the Menteri Besar of Pahang, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail .


"...of course we also expect all the component parties under the Unity Government to be together.


"In fact tomorrow I will also go to Pulai and Simpang Jeram to lead the BN (Barisan Nasional) machinery to help Pakatan Harapan candidates," he said. – UMNO Online
