THE Super League match between Penang and Kedah Darul Aman at the City Stadium here was marred by an incident of fighting between the two groups of supporters after the match ended on Tuesday night.
The incident that took place outside the stadium is believed to be caused by provocation between the two parties before a push and shove incident occurred between them.
The atmosphere became more tense when the two groups began to act aggressively with kicking action between them, causing a commotion near the Kedah supporters' bus parking area.
In a viral video lasting 1 minute 42 seconds, a group dressed in all black believed to be Penang supporters were seen uttering provocative words before a fight broke out with supporters of the opposing team.
In the 20th Super League competition that took place last night, the home team lost to the neighboring team with a score of 1-2.
Fadzrul Danel opened the scoring for Kedah in the 7th minute before Lebanese player Soony Saad equalized in the 32nd minute.
Moses Atede's kick from outside the penalty box in the 96th minute added to the grief of the Penang FC team thus giving victory to the Sang Kenari team
