ALOR SETAR - The Menteri Besar of Kedah, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md. Nor was not detained by the police as claimed since the beginning of this night.
The National Alliance (PN) candidate for the Jeneri State Legislative Assembly (DUN) said that the news about his arrest which was allegedly carried out this evening was completely untrue.
"That's not true, I'm here (only) here, line clear," he said when he appeared on a live show on the TikTok application a while ago.
Earlier, there were reports that the Director General of the PN Elections was detained by the police this afternoon.
Speculation started when Muhammad Sanusi was unable to attend the Casual Chat program with PN DUN candidates Lunas and Merbau Pulas at Taman Serai Wangi in Padang Serai, Kulim near here.
At the event, Pas Youth Council Head, Nasrun Othman said, Muhammad Sanusi could not attend due to security issues despite claiming that the Menteri Besar was already halfway to the destination.
Meanwhile, Bukit Aman Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) Corporate Communications Head, Assistant Commissioner Skandaguru Anandan also denied that he had arrested or summoned the Kedah Menteri Besar to record the conversation today.
"No party from Bukit Aman, the Kedah contingent or the District Police Headquarters (IPD) in Kedah took action as reported," he said.
