THE news of England's top defender Trent Alexander-Arnold's transfer to LaLiga giants Real Madrid has received mixed reactions from football fans who are interested in the individual.
According to popular journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Liverpool star will leave Anfield following the end of his contract in June, insisting that the European Champions League (UCL) champions are likely to be his latest destination.
In fact, Carlo Ancelotti's squad is finalising the decision to sign the 26-year-old to strengthen the club. However, some supporters expressed their disappointment to the point of burning the jersey with the player's name on it as a form of protest and disagreed with the news.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is seen as a key player for coach Arne Slot this season after putting in a commendable performance.
Since his debut in 2016, Trent Alexander-Arnold has been the talk of the town for his impressive performances and numerous passes and goal assists against the Reds striker.
Trent Alexander-Arnold's status with the two teams is yet to be ascertained and no official announcement has been made by either party so far.
Apart from himself, Dutch captain Virgil van Dijk and English Premier League (EPL) top scorer Mohamed Salah are also not sure whether to stay with Liverpool next season.
