Harith Iskander's stand-up comedy program at DFP tomorrow night cancelled

KUALA LUMPUR: A stand-up comedy programme involving Harith Iskander which will take place at the Petronas Philharmonic Hall (DFP) tomorrow night, has been cancelled.
In a statement, DFP apologised for cancelling DFP Punchline: Harith Iskandar Punchline: Harith Iskander 35 Years of Laughter.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your understanding and continued support," the statement said. DFP informed that ticket buyers can exchange for another concert or get a refund.
"Tickets can be exchanged for any other DFP or MPO concert during the season. Secondly, refunds can be made through the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
"All exchanges or refund requests must be made by Feb 8," he said.
It is understood that this follows the issue of Harith allegedly making fun of Islam after he uploaded a post with a photo showing a cup of coffee named 'ham sap kopi'.
In a Facebook post, Harith jokingly stated that his faith was threatened when he considered enjoying the coffee.
He allegedly uploaded the post during the ham and cheese sandwich controversy which was said to have doubted its halal status, recently.
The post seemed to open a space to ridicule Islam when some social media users left comments that were believed to be linked to 'ham' with the Prophet Muhammad PBUH.
On Thursday, Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said that the police had recorded the testimony of the comedian and actor regarding the controversy.
Another individual who is being tracked by the police as it is believed to be related to the case is a social media user named 'Cecelia Yap Song'.
