BUSAN (South Korea): A passenger plane caught fire before it took off at Busan's Gimhae International Airport on Tuesday night, causing the evacuation of 169 passengers and seven crew members, Yonhap news agency reported.
According to fire authorities, the Air Busan flight bound for Hong Kong caught fire in the tail at about 10.30pm local time, seconds before takeoff.
According to the fire brigade, the fire then spread to the fuselage, but all 176 people on board managed to be pulled out using emergency slides without sustaining any injuries. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire.
