KUALA LUMPUR: A shopper returning to his car in the parking lot of the Sunway Putra Mall here recently was irked to discover that it was partially blocked by the vehicle of an inconsiderate driver.

As his Toyota was backed against a wall, he was essentially trapped thanks to the double-parked Honda. And in keeping with their selfish nature, the Honda driver did not leave their contact number on the car’s dashboard (as uniquely-Malaysian driving etiquette demands).

After much head-scratching, the Toyota owner contacted the mall’s management office, and before long, three men in fluorescent vests came to his rescue.

In a mobile phone video clip which has gone viral on social media, the men could be seen using special trolley jacks to raise all four tyres of the Honda.

Once off the ground, they handily push the Honda to one side – thus clearing the way for the Toyota to escape its parking lot prison.

The casual ease with which the men carry out the operation creates the impression that they deal with the issue all the time.

The Toyota owner, who presumably shot the video, captioned the footage thusly: “Because you parked so badly, we had to resort to this."

Based on the video, we anticipate an explosion in demand for those special trolley jacks among Malaysian drivers. – SAYS.COM
