The owner of a seafood restaurant is furious after his customers do not want to pay in full for the dishes that have been ordered.

PETALING JAYA - An owner of a seafood restaurant in Sabah was furious when his customers refused to pay for the food ordered for a total of RM1,102.20 on the grounds that it was too expensive.

The owner of the restaurant explained that the customer only paid RM400 and ran out of the restaurant.

It is understood that the customer has ordered seafood such as 'lobster king', fried octopus, two sets of crab dishes, grouper and several types of drinks.

"There is no reason not to pay as we ourselves know what the menu is ordered. Whatever the reason, please immediately make the remaining payment," he wrote in a post on Facebook.

He explained that after his post went viral on social media, the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living also conducted an investigation at their restaurant.

"There is no problem and nothing suspicious in our restaurant," he added.

Average social media users also condemned the customer's irresponsible actions.

A receipt circulated by the seafood restaurant claiming that the customer only paid RM400 out of the more than RM1,000 total price of the food ordered.
