The announcement was made through Tasteatlas' official social media page, Instagram, on Sunday.
Through the chart, roti canai not only succeeded in beating India, which is popular with naan roti, but also Europe, which is known as the country that produces the best pastries in the world.
Roti canai took first place in the list of the 50 best breads in the world by Tasteatlas.
This is not the first time roti canai has received recognition from Tasteatlas but previously last July, it was crowned the best 'flat bread' in the world and once again succeeded in beating naan roti from India.
