Over a dozen PAS' volunteer corps Unit Amal members surrounded party president Abdul Hadi Awang as they escorted him out of the Putra World Trade Centre where the Umno general assembly is taking place.
As reporters tried to approach Hadi for a response on Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's policy speech, the PAS security team made it almost impossible by creating a barrier between the press and Hadi.

Emotions ran high as the media tried to get through tight security for PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang's comments at the Umno general assembly on Sunday (March 28), but ultimately disappointment filled the air as the journalists were left hanging.
Pressmen had hoped to get Abdul Hadi’s comments, especially after a few Umno delegates brought up a motion to reassess the party's relationship with PAS.
