Muhyiddin becomes first individual in the country to complete COVID-19 vaccine injection

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin became the first individual in the country to complete the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine injection, today.
He received the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech at 3.17pm at the Putrajaya District Health Office (PKD) in Precinct 11, Putrajaya.
Also taking the second dose today were Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah and Health Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.
The receipt of the injection was broadcast live through various media platforms including social media to enable the people to get a true and comprehensive picture of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program.
The Pagoh Member of Parliament received the first dose on February 24.
Earlier, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said after negotiations with Pfizer, Malaysia would sign a supply increase. Pfizer will supply 32 million doses or 50 per cent of the population of Malaysia.
Originally the amount of vaccine to be supplied was as much as 20 per cent, then for 39 per cent and now giving to half of the country’s population.
