KUALA LUMPUR: All social events including weddings, engagements, solemnisation of marriage and anniversary celebrations are allowed in the Conditional Movement Control Command (CMCO) and Recovery MCO (RMCO) areas.

Senior Minister (Defence Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, said for the CMCO areas, guest capacity is limited to 50 per cent of the premises area while for RMCO areas, it is according to the area of the premises by complying with standard operating procedures (SOP).

"All formal and informal government events, social events such as weddings, engagements, anniversaries and reunions are allowed," he said at a press conference here, on Tuesday.

As for the wedding ceremonies at home, Ismail Sabri said the organising and presence of guests are allowed as long as they comply with physical distancing.

"Although permission is given, they have to comply with the SOP issued such as physical distancing.
"Let there not be a wedding that is too crowded, resulting in danger to all those present," he said.
