Scheduled water supply disruption from 9:00 am, 5 June 2024 (Wednesday)

Air Selangor would like to remind consumers on the implementation of asset maintenance and replacement works at Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant (SSP1 WTP). The implementation of these works will cause a temporary scheduled water supply disruption in Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor regions starting from 9:00 am, 5 June 2024 (Wednesday). These works are expected to be completed by 7:00 pm, 5 June 2024 (Wednesday). Water supply is expected to be distributed to consumers in stages starting from 3:00 am, 6 June 2024 (Thursday) after the maintenance and replacement works are completed and the main water supply distribution system has been stabilised.

The percentage of water supply recovery in the affected areas is expected to reach approximately 20% at 3:00 pm, 6 June 2024 (Thursday), followed by 90% at 3:00 am, 7 June 2024 (Friday). The full recovery time is expected to be at 12:00 pm, 7 June 2024 (Friday). The list of areas that will experience the scheduled water supply disruption as well as the expected full recovery time are listed in appendix below.

For your information, the duration of this water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location of the consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.

Air Selangor will be mobilising water tankers to the affected areas by giving priority to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers and funerals. Therefore, Air Selangor would like to advise the affected consumers to keep adequate water supply and use water prudently during this period of scheduled water supply disruption.

For commercial customers, the purchase of treated water supply can be made at any of Air Selangor’s customer service counters across all regions. Commercial customers can use their respective water tankers at four (4) local water filling stations that will be opened at Braemar Estate (Hulu Langat region), Taman Gemilang Dengkil and Pekan Salak (Sepang region), as well as Taman Banting Baru (Kuala Langat region).
