SERDANG: The mystery of the disappearance of an information technology worker since last Saturday was unraveled when the victim's BMW car was found crashed on Jalan Lebuhraya Puchong towards Bukit Jalil, here.

The 41-year-old victim is believed to have failed to contact the family since early Saturday morning, who later filed a police report.

Serdang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner AA Anbalagan said, the police received a complaint about the discovery of the vehicle at about 2.30pm, Monday.

"Preliminary investigations at the incident, we believe the vehicle driven by the victim crashed on its own and hit a road barrier before plunging into a drain, estimated to be 10 meters deep.

"As a result, the man got stuck and died at the scene," he said when contacted by Astro AWANI on Monday.

Anbalagan said, the victim's body was sent to Serdang Hospital for an autopsy.

Accordingly, he asked people who have information about the incident to come forward to any nearby police station.

Meanwhile, Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Shahrulnizam Jaafar confirmed that the victim's family filed a missing victim report at Sungai Way Police Station, Petaling Jaya.
