A woman with a disability (OKU) was arrested to assist in the investigation regarding acts of endangering children in vehicles on the road.

Kajang Police Chief, Naazron Abdul Yusof, said the 46-year-old woman was arrested at IPD Kajang when she appeared with her husband to testify at 4.50pm.

"Today, at 11.15am, a police report was received regarding a 28-second viral video believed to have taken place in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Kajang, Selangor that was uploaded by the owner of the Tiktok account.

"The video shows the dangerous actions of a girl sitting in the open window next to the driver's left front door of a vehicle," he said in a statement.

He said the woman who was arrested was the mother of the child in the car and the car was also confiscated to help the investigation.

"Further investigation revealed that the arrest was confirmed of a physically disabled person blind in one eye, while the eight-year-old girl who went viral in the video was also a disabled child," he said.

He said the case was investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Children's Act and Section 336 of the Penal Code.

Naazron advises parents and the community not to do things that could cause danger to children and other road users, and to be more cautious on the road.
