Hina lance corporal: Female police officer arrested in Gombak
The suspect will be granted bail as soon as the investigation papers are complete as there are several more reports made against the same suspect.
KUALA LUMPUR : The police have confirmed that they have arrested a female police officer who had previously uttered disrespectful words and insulted a lower ranked member of the force.
Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar said the civil servant was arrested at 1.20pm on Sunday at the Gombak District Police Headquarters.
"D9 of the Criminal Investigation Division, Gombak District Police Headquarters has arrested a 35-year-old local woman.
"Police also confiscated her mobile phones to assist with investigations related to Section 506 of the Penal Code, Section 186 of the Penal Code, as well as Section 14 of the Minor Offenses Act," he said in a statement on Sunday.
According to Hussein, the suspect will be granted bail as soon as the investigation papers are complete following several other reports made against the same suspect.
In a recording that went viral before , the suspect is believed to be a police officer who raised her voice saying that the police officer in question did not have the right to reprimand her in addition to belittling his position as a lance corporal.
In the meantime, another video recording allegedly involved the same police officer, in a different altercation at another location.
