KUALA LUMPUR: Chairman of the Federal Land Development Board (Felda), Tan Sri Idris Jusoh confirmed his resignation from the position effective June 30.
Through his Facebook page, the former Minister of Higher Education explained that he received a decision from the Prime Minister's Office to make way for the appointment of a new successor.
Idris in his statement thanked the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for giving him the opportunity to hold the position.
Appreciation is also directed to the settlers, Felda officers throughout their service.
He was appointed as Felda Chairman and Chairman of the agency's Board of Directors, effective 1 May 2020.
However, his successor for the position of Felda Chairman has not yet been announced.
