KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Robert Kuok maintains his position as the richest individual in Malaysia with a fortune worth US$11.8 billion (RM51.88 billion), according to the latest list of Forbes World's Richest 2023.


In the latest list, he ranks 146th as one of the richest individuals in the world.


The second richest individual in Malaysia is Tan Sri Quek Leng Chan with a wealth value of US$10.1 billion (RM44.41 billion) and he is ranked 179th in the Forbes list.


Next, followed by Ananda Krishnan with wealth worth US$5.2 billion (RM22.86 billion) and the tycoon is in the 511th position in the world's richest individuals.


Meanwhile, at the global level, LVMH Founder Bernard Arnault ranked first as the richest individual in the Forbes 2023 World Rich List.


He has a fortune worth US$211 billion (RM927.77 billion), thus making him the first Frenchman to top the list.


LVMH, owns Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Tiffany & Co.


CEO of Tesla and Twitter, Elon Musk ranked second with a fortune worth US$180 billion (RM791.46 billion).


The third place of the richest individual in the world is held by Jeff Bezos with a fortune worth US$114 billion (RM501.26 billion), falling one step compared to the previous year.


The fourth position is held by the Chairman of Oracle, Larry Ellison with a wealth value of US$107 billion (RM470.48 billion) and the fifth place is Warren Buffett with a wealth value of US$106 billion (RM466.08 billion).
