Luqman was appointed as Special Duties Officer (Strategic) in December last year following the appointment of Hannah Yeoh as Minister of Youth and Sports.
SHAH ALAM: Malaysian Democratic Alliance Party (Muda) information chief, Luqman Long has confirmed that he has resigned as the Special Duties Officer (Strategic) to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh.
According to him, the resignation notice was sent two weeks ago.
However, the reason for the resignation was not specified by Luqman.
"I already know to stop since the first week of April 2023.
"One month's notice, even the office has known for a long time. There was chaos when I mentioned the open house," he said via Twitter on Saturday.
Recently, Luqman sparked controversy when he criticized the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim regarding the Aidilfitri open house to be organized in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu compared to his official residence in Putrajaya. -- Sinar Harian
