PM ANWAR VISITS SONGSTRESS ROHANA JALIL IN HOSPITAL

KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim last Friday visited veteran singer Rohana Jalil who is now undergoing treatment for intestinal perforation at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
In a Facebook post, Anwar said Rohana’s condition was still being monitored by a medical team.
The prime minister also took the opportunity to visit Adzis Ismail, his Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) schoolmate who is undergoing dialysis due to a medical condition at the same hospital.
“I pray both of them are blessed with aafiyah (good health), insya-Allah,” Anwar said in the post.
Rohana, 68, whose real name is Dara Abdul Jalil, was reported to have sought treatment at the hospital last Tuesday, before successfully undergoing surgery the next day for intestinal perforation.
It is learned that the mother of actress Kilafairy was transferred to the high-dependency unit (HDU) today.
