It is inappropriate for the Acting Sultan of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim to propose the separation of powers between the state and the federation, said Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
The former prime minister recalled that without federation, the state would have remained a British colony today.
Dr Mahathir commented on the statement of Tunku Ismail who is also the Tunku Mahkota Johor (TMJ) that they are not a beggar state so they have to beg to cover the needs and development in the state.
