KL Police Chief will be the Director of CID (JSJ) Bukit Aman
KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, will be appointed as the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, Bukit Aman.
Shuhaily, who previously served as Chief of Police for Pulau Pinang, was appointed as Chief of Police for Kuala Lumpur on May 15.
Shuhaily's exchange allowed him to be considered as Chief of the Kuala Lumpur Police for the shortest time, namely less than four months after the exchange order was before 30 August.
Theposition became vacant after Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, who held the position, was appointed as the Deputy IGP , starting on 23 June.
The position of Chief of Police for Kuala Lumpur will be taken over by the Integrity and Standards Compliance (JIPS) Director, Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid, with the rank of Police Commissioner.
IGP, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, confirmed the changes.
