Head in a bag: Nepali man accused of killing fellow countryman

SHAH ALAM: A Nepalese man was charged in the Magistrate's Court here today on the charge of killing his fellow countryman whose body was found ineligible last January.
Santosh Magar, 25, simply nodded in understanding as the charge was read out to him in Nepali before Magistrate Sasha Diana on Saturday.
No confession was recorded from the accused because of the murder case under the jurisdiction of the High Court. The court set May 22 for the re-mention of the case.
According to the charges, Santosh is accused of killing Raj Kar Ki, 48, at KM447 of the North-South Highway (PLUS) in Sungai Buloh near here under Section 302 of the Penal Code which provides for the death penalty, if convicted.
The prosecution was handled by Deputy Public Prosecutor Erneetha Kaur Baghwant Singh while the accused was not represented by a lawyer.
Previously, the media reported that a body without a head, hands and feet was found by the public with a black bag in the area.
A head, a pair of legs and a hand were found in the bag.
