Flight cancelled, Constable Nicholester's remains driven to Sibu

SIBU, Nov 2 -- The body of Constable Nicholester Dadup Unggat, 20, who was killed while on duty in Johor Bahru last Sunday is expected to arrive at his family's residence in Sibu Jaya here by midnight after initial flight plans had to be cancelled due to bad weather.
Sibu District Police Chief, ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit today said the Air Wing Unit (PGU) flight carrying the remains from Kuching had to be cancelled this afternoon, after which the hearse was transported by road, a journey that is expected to take about six hours.
"The PDRM hearse was also accompanied by the sister and brother of the late Constable Nicholester who had also accompanied it from Johor Bahru," he told reporters after visiting the family of the deceased at their residence.
According to him, Nicholester's funeral will be held at the Nirvana Memorial Park cemetery, at Kilometre 32, Jalan Oya, here this Thursday.
Nicholester was killed while his colleague Lance Corporal Muhammad Fadhirul Musa, 32 was seriously injured in a road accident when their patrol car crashed and overturned while pursuing two suspected criminals in a Perodua MyVi at Jalan Kangkar Tebrau/Jalan Tun Teja here early Sunday morning.
