Datuk Hasnan Hassan is new Perak Police Chief

KUALA LUMPUR: Perak Deputy Police Chief Datuk Hasnan Hassan has been appointed as the new Perak Police Chief, replacing Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Hanafi, who was transferred to the Administration Division, Management Department, Bukit Aman Police Headquarters.
Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Corporate Communications head SAC Datin Asmawati Ahmad said in a statement today that Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Hasnan would now assume the rank of acting Commissioner of Police (CP).
According to the statement, Hasnan’s place was taken over by Deputy Chief of Land Operations, Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK), Bukit Aman, Datuk Zainuddin Yaacob who was promoted from Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC) to the rank of acting DCP.
“Datuk Zainuddin’s former post will be assumed by Deputy JPJKK Selangor, ACP Khalil Ariffin with the new rank of acting SAC,” the statement said.
In addition, Kota Tinggi police chief Supt Rahmat Othman, will assume the position of Deputy Chief JPJKK, Selangor, with the rank of acting ACP.
All movements are effective May 15. -- Bernama
