Malaysian actor busted in Medan with drugs hidden up his rectum

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular 90’s actor Khaeryll Benjamin Ibrahim, better known as Benjy, was arrested at Medan Kuala Namu International Airport, on suspicion of hiding syabu in his rectum.
Benjy, 38, was detained by Indonesian Customs and Excise Department officers at the airport upon arrival last Tuesday.
Kuala Namu Customs and Excise division head Zaky Firmansayah said their inspections showed that Benjy, who had arrived in Indonesia via a Malindo Air flight, had 14 grammes of syabu stuffed inside him.
“Upon examination, drugs were found hidden in his rectum. He admitted that he bought them from someone in Kuala Lumpur.
“In the course of the interrogation, he (Benjy) he traveled here to meet with a friend named 'DJ',” he told local media Detik News, today.
Zaky said Benjy has been transferred to the Northern Sumatera district police anti-narcotics division for further investigation.
Benjy, a gifted actor, is the son of the late screen legend Azean Irdawaty.
He has had a chequered history with narcotics. In 2010, he was arrested at an apartment in Kepong in connection with producing and supplying drugs.
