Man with hammer robs Banting goldsmith of RM100k in jewellery

SHAH ALAM: A man single-handedly robbed a goldsmith shop of RM100,000 in jewellery in Banting near here, yesterday.
The robber, wearing a white helmet with a heavily-tinted visor, and armed with a hammer, escaped on a motorcycle ridden by his accomplice in the 11.15am incident.
At the time, there were only three workers at the shop, located at Jalan Bunga Pekan.
Kuala Langat police chief, Supt Azizan Tukiman, said the robber managed to grab several pieces of jewellery after smashing a display showcase.
Azizan is urging witnesses to contact investigating officer, Inspector Shah Razmeer Khan Shah Gzali Khan, at 010- 361 7250 to shed light on the hold-up. -- BERNAMA
