GEORGE TOWN: The fact that Datuk Nicol David can keep her eyes on the squash ball and smash it with eye-popping accuracy is nothing new.
But dance like a Latina? Now, that should pique some interest.
A 87 second video of Nicol grooving along with Colombia’s rising squash star Miguel Angel Rodriguez scored more than 19,000 views just a few hours after it was uploaded on her official fan page.
The video received over 2,000 likes with many posting comments saying that “she’s cute”.
The two danced on the beach to the Latin hit Despacito at Moods Restaurant and Beach Club in El Gouna, Egypt.
The buzz about the squash queen dancing began with her Nicol Dance Challenge videos posted earlier this month for fans to guess who her dance partner would be.
On April 5, Nicol did a shout-out to squash players in a video announcing the hashtag challenge #nicoldancechallenge, followed by another announcement on April 9.
