PETALING JAYA: Muhammad Wanndy Mohamed Jedi holds up the severed head of a man with a smile, with one finger pointing upwards.
The picture posted on April 14, has been blocked by Facebook due to its graphic content. But Muhammad Wanndy calls it “the most beautiful picture I ever had”.
The man whose head was severed was referred to by Muhammad Wanndy in his post as a “dog” of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
While many posted comments praising him, one questioned the difference between Muhammad Wanndy and his victim.
The long-haired Muhammad Wanndy responded that it is a lesson for those who go against Islam.
“If you are saying that we are cruel, then you are wrong. They are dead because they attacked Daulah Islamiyyah,” he said.
Using the assumed name of Abu Hamzah Al-Fateh on Facebook, Muhammad Wanndy, is probably the most high-profile Malaysian fighting as part of the Islamic State (IS) in Syria.
His Facebook page was open to the public but later deactivated. His posts had revealed his “lust for violence”.
On March 25, he said that he was excited as there was a battle in Raqqa. Many posts touch on religion and martyrdom.
“The blessings that God gives to those martyred while defending religion they will always be by God’s side and live in the belly of the green bird whose cage is made of gold,” Muhammad Wanndy said in one post.
He also praises the two Movida bombers – Imam Wahyudin Karjono, 21, and Jonius Indie @ Jahali, 24 – saying their “good deeds” would be rewarded by God.
In one post on April 7, he said that hudud was practised in Daulah Islamiyyah and that every case of theft would be investigated fairly in the Islamic court.
“The punishment will only be given after there is proof and a confession.
“There was a theft involving more than two dinars but the thief wasn’t punished because the person stole to cover the medical costs of his child.
“This clearly shows that not all thefts result in hands being cut, as pictured by the mass media,” he said.
Muhammad Wanndy also demonstrated his prowess at assembling a machine gun in a video, boasting that he did it in less than a minute. In the video, there is a child next to him.
One post shows his child holding a rifle, with Wandy saying “Arra want to go to war ahaha she wants to become a mujahideen”.
