KLANG: Police are facing another incident of students, believed to be involved in gangs, creating a ruckus outside a school.
In a 45-second video released by police, several youths are seen gathering around two cakes in the shape of the numbers 2 and 4, decorated with swastika signs and the words "La Salle 24".
The youths, wearing green collared T-shirts with the words "La Salle," are seen using their hands to feed the cakes to others. Firecrackers are also set off on the road.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said the incident occurred on Friday behind SMK Simpang Lima in Klang.
He said policemen on patrol in an MPV near Lebuh Tamarind behind the school noticed a group of youths playing with firecrackers at about noon.
"The group of youths tried to flee when they realised the police were there," SAC Fadzil said in a statement Saturday.
He said police managed to catch two teenagers and seized a motorcycle with a fake number plate at the scene.
SAC Fadzil said in follow-up operations, another four individuals were nabbed between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on the same day around Pandamaran and Bukit Tinggi in Klang.
He said five of those arrested aged between 15 and 17, are students of SMK La Salle Klang and SMK Tengku Ampuan Jemaah Klang. Police are checking on the background of the sixth person.
SAC Fadzil said all six have been remanded for four days starting Saturday.
The incident came after two videos showing motorcyclists causing a commotion outside a school went viral on Thursday.
In the first video clip, the group is seen shouting and revving motorcycle engines outside a school. They are also seen holding up banners, one of which bears the letter "24", "TD4" and a black swastika.
One youth swings a string of firecrackers as frightened schoolchildren scurry away.
The second video starts with a close-up of a cake with the words "SMK Sri Andalas", "24" and "Apache" written on it.
