Keadaan kemalangan membabitkan kenderaan Perodua Ativa dengan sebuah lori dekat Hentian Rehat dan Rawat (R&R) Senawang, Negeri Sembilan pada Sabtu.

The Perodua Ativa driven by the victim crashed into a container truck that stopped at Kilometer 249.9 of the PLUS Highway.


SEREMBAN - A woman died after the Perodua Ativa she was driving crashed into a container lorry that stopped at Kilometer 249. 9 of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) southbound at the entrance to the Senawang Rest and Treatment Stop (R&R) area here on Saturday.


Seremban District Deputy Chief of Police, Superintendent Mohd Rosli Ishak said, the incident at 7.45 in the morning happened when the 30-year-old victim was driving alone on her way from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Melaka.


"However, when she arrived at the scene of the incident, the vehicle she was driving was suspected to have lost control and hit the left rear of a Volvo type container that was stopped on the right side of the road.


"The lorry driven by the 43-year-old man who stopped there while waiting for his turn to park his vehicle at the R&R because it was full at the time," he said in a statement on Monday.


According to him, as a result of the incident, the victim who was seriously injured in the head and body was confirmed dead at the scene.


In this regard, he said, people who saw or had information about the incident were asked to contact the investigating officer of the case, Inspector Muhamad Alif, on 018-2029479.


"Or you can contact the Seremban District Police Headquarters (IPD) at 06-6033222 to assist with investigations and cases investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987," he said.


Meanwhile, the video recording of the incident went viral on Facebook and was sent by a user believed to be a friend of the victim who was not satisfied with the incident.


This is because he said, the act of the container stopping there was dangerous because it has blocked the path and vision of other drivers.
