Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has been officially confirmed as the new president of the Football Association of Malaysia.

PETALING JAYA: Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has been officially confirmed as the new president of the Football Association of Malaysia.
FAM secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin made the announcement at 10.15am Saturday during FAM's 53rd Congress at a hotel here.
Tunku Ismail was announced the winner following Ketereh MP Tan Sri Annuar Musa's surprise announcement on Thursday to pull out of the two-horse race.
"With the withdrawal of Tan Sri Annuar Musa as a candidate (for the president's post), I suggested Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim be elected unopposed," he said, adding that the proposal received the support of all delegates thus confirming the post belonged to Tunku Ismail.
Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal, meanwhile, made his return to FAM after gaining 37 votes for one of the two deputy presidents posts. Datuk Yusoff Mahali took the other spot with 33 votes, ousting incumbent Datuk Seri Afandi Hamzah who could only muster six votes.
The four vice presidents are Mohd Joehari Mohd Ayub (34 votes), Datuk Abdul Ghani Hassan (29), Datuk S.Sivasundram (28), and Datuk Rosmadi Ismail (20).
The FAM executive committee members are SAC Datuk Aziman Alias (33), Datuk Aminuddin Omar (30), Datuk Hisamudin Yahya (29), Datuk Jeffrey Low (28), Supt Mohd Dali Wahid (25), Christopher Raj (25), Subkhiddin Mohd Salleh (21), Mohd Firdaus Mohamed (21).
The two women excos are Datuk Suraya Yaacob (24) and Shafizah Umamah Abdul Mutalib (18).
