Flash Floods Cause Traffic Jams In Klang Valley

Flash flood and heavy rain causing heavy traffic in Klang Valley

PETALING JAYA: Flash floods in several areas in the Klang Valley are causing massive traffic jams in the city centre, federal highway and Plus and Sprint highways.
The roads from Jalan Raja Chulan heading towards Jalan P. Ramlee are affected with reports stating that only heavy vehicles are able to pass the route.
Jalan Sultan Ismail is also affected, causing heavy congestion on reads heading out of the city center.

Despite the heavy rain and flooding in several areas, the Smart tunnel remains open on both directions.

On the PLUS highway, an accident is reported along KM 19.3 Damansara - Kota Damansara road and traffic heading towards Subang is reported to be slow.

Traffic from Nilai heading towards Seremban is also slow on the Plus highway.
Delays are expected on the Federal Highway, as report shows that traffic is backed up on both directions.
