TTDi Bungalow Razed By Fire
A two-storey luxury bungalow near Taman Tun Dr Ismail was razed in a fire earlier this evening.
The 6.40pm incident occured along the millionaire's row at Persiaraan Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi here.
Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) Fire and Rescue Department Operation Commander Hamdan Hj Mat said they received the call at 6.42pm and arrived at the location 8 minutes after.
About 38 personnel from TTDI, Hartamas and Pantai fire and rescue departments arrived at the scene to prevent the fire from spreading to other houses.
" We are still estimating the loss and also the cause of the fire," he said to the reporters.
It is also learnt that 90% of the bungalow was in flames. It took about 40minutes to clear.
A neighbour who believed to be the house owner's friend said that the house owner, in his 70's was in the house with his two children when the incident happened.
" The father of six children is currently at a relative's house and is in safe condition, he refused to comment on anything, I believed he is still in shocked," he said.Lim( neighbour) also said that a neighbour realised the house was razed after seeing a smoke coming from a room on the first floor.
