3 revelers arrested after attacking police car in Malaysia
KUANTAN - A police patrol car came under attack by revelers after a Christmas countdown at the Teluk Cempedak beach.
Pahang CID deputy chief Supt Mohd Haris Daud said the mobile patrol vehicle had been dispatched to the popular tourist destination following a report that several vehicles in the area had been damaged.
"Upon arriving at the crowded beach side at about 12.04am, the patrol car was attacked by several people who were throwing bottles, aluminium cans and rocks," he said here Wednesday.
Supt Mohd Haris said three men were subsequently arrested.
He added that the car was dented in the incident but there were no injuries reported.
