NAGANO (Japan): Several people were stabbed on Wednesday evening at a train station that is a transport hub to the ski area, located in central Japan.
The incident left one man unconscious, while the male suspect fled the scene, Kyodo News reported, citing local police.
Police were alerted to the incident that occurred at about 8pm local time at JR Nagano Station, with at least one victim confirming that he did not know the attacker. According to witnesses, the suspect, who is believed to be carrying a sharp object, is thin with a height of between 165 and 175 centimeters and is believed to be in his 40s.
