The parents of an 11-year-old student, who suffered heat exhaustion after being compelled to stand under the sun for nearly three hours, want the police to assign a “more capable” investigating officer to the case.
The family's spokesperson Dayalan Sreebalan claimed the authorities are now shifting the focus of the investigation towards the child's disability, instead of the incident itself.
