DHL cargo plane crashes in residential area

RIGA: At least one person died and three others were injured after a cargo plane operating on behalf of DHL from Leipzig crashed into a residential building near Vilnius Airport, according to BNS News Agency.
The report quoted a spokesman for the emergency services, as reported by the German news agency dpa.
Initial reports indicated that there were four people on board the ill-fated plane and all the injured were taken to hospital for treatment.
Emergency personnel are currently at the scene and the cause of the accident is still unknown.
Preliminary data showed that rescue teams received reports around 5.28am (0328 GMT) of a cargo plane crashing into a two-storey residential building, which is now reportedly on fire.
The head of DHL's Lithuanian subsidiary confirmed that the plane belonged to the company's contractor.
