FGV reappointed Shahrol Anuwar as interim chairman
Shahrol Anuwar will assume the new role until the appointment of a new chairman by the FGV Special Shareholders.
KUALA LUMPUR: FGV Holdings Bhd today announced the re-appointment of Datuk Shahrol Anuwar Sarman, a government-appointed director in the FGV Board of Directors as interim chairman effective today.
FGV in a statement said he will assume the new role until the appointment of a new chairman by the FGV Special Shareholders.
The reappointment was made after the end of the previous chairman's term of service, Datuk Dzulkifli Abd Wahab on 31 March 2023.
Shahrol Anuwar, 49, has extensive experience in leadership at home and abroad.
He has held various positions in the Ministry of Finance and was the secretary of the ministry's strategic investment division from 2019 to 2022.
Currently, he is the Director of the National Budget Office of the Ministry of Finance.
He holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Cardiff University, Wales, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from MARA University of Technology.
