Action taken: Home Ministry officials carrying away the comic books after the raid at the museum in George Town.


GEORGE TOWN: The Asia Comic Cultural Museum was raided by Home Ministry officials and 13 copies of the Belt and Road Initiative for Win-Winism comic book were confiscated.

According to sources, seven officials from the ministry spent about 30 minutes in the museum in search of the comic books.


The officials raided the museum located on the second level of ICT Mall in Komtar at about 11am yesterday before leaving the premises with 13 copies of the book.

It was learnt that the confiscated comic books will be sent to the ministry in Putrajaya and a statement will be issued by the ministry over the matter.


The controversial comic was produced by Hew Kuan Yau, a former DAP member and the curator of the Asia Comic Cultural Museum, in collaboration with local artist Chong Po Ling.

Hew said he was aware of the raid but declined to elaborate further
