Police station chief arrested for taking drug 'juice' at entertainment centre

AMPANG JAYA: A police station chief was arrested after consuming juice suspected of containing drugs while enjoying himself at an entertainment centre in Pandan Perdana, here, last Friday.
More surprisingly, the 43-year-old man's urine test found the presence of four types of illegal substances, namely amphetamine, methamphetamine, ketamine, and benzo.
The arrest of the police officer was carried out by the Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN) at 5.05 pm after receiving a complaint and information.
Meanwhile, Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the arrest of the police officer involved.
"This case is being investigated by the Selangor Police Contingent and the head of the police station involved has been remanded for two days to assist in the investigation."
"The case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952," he said when contacted by Harian Metro today.
