PETALING JAYA: Khairy Jamaluddin appeared to blow a fuse when an online "health product" promoter posted a shameless sales pitch on his Instagram account on Monday.
The plug for a height gain product drew the ire of the Youth and Sports Minister after it was posted in the comments section for his post of the scenic Cat Bells fell in the Lake District in Britain.
"Want to be tall? Come have a look at our Instagram," read the comment, which promised up to a 10cm gain in height in just 10 days.
"Please don't promote your fake s*** on my Instagram. There is no product that can make you taller when you are an adult," retorted Khairy.
"Plus, you chose the wrong person lah. I'm 182cm tall. Almost 6ft," he added.
However, his threat fell on deaf ears as two other promotion accounts advertised their products further down the same comments section, with one selling the same supplement and the other peddling weight loss medicine.
Another Instagram user tried to placate Khairy.
"Calm down, boss. It is just that message. Not a billboard," read nejabintijoel's comment.
