JOHOR BARU: Four people were injured when a taxi crashed into tables that were set up by a roadside of a restaurant in Jalan Intan at Taman Cahaya Masai here.
Pictures and video of the incident that happened in Pasir Gudang went viral on Facebook and received more than 300 shares.
Seri Alam OCPD Supt Jokhiri Abdul Aziz confirmed the case and said the victims, who were the customers at the restaurant, suffered minor injuries during the 7.10pm incident on Saturday (Oct 21).
He said initial investigations revealed that the taxi driver was trying to avoid a motorcycle that was coming from the opposite way.
Supt Jokhiri said the driver was also injured and received treatment as outpatient at the Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI).
He added the case was being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
