One dead, two hurt in four-vehicle collision on Jln Kuching

KUALA LUMPUR: A motorcyclist died and two others were injured in an accident involving three motorcycles and a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle along Jalan Kuching here.

City Traffic Investigation and Legal Affairs staff officer Deputy Supt Shafie Daud said the accident occurred at around 9.04am on Thursday (Oct 26).

He said the deceased Mohd Hafiz Zainan, 29, was trying to overtake two other motorcycles when his motorcycle hit a 4WD.

"All the vehicles were travelling towards the city at the time of the incident," he said when contacted on Thursday.

"The other two motorcyclists suffered multiple injuries after they crashed into the fallen motorcycle," he added.

The body of the deceased motorcyclist was sent to the Hospital Kuala Lumpur for postmortem.

"Investigations revealed that the road conditions were dry and traffic was flowing smoothly when the accident occurred," he said.
